Week #44 Stash (Enhancement) Report

Yep, I did it again. Earlier this summer I won a gift certificate from the awesome Thousands of Bolts.com online fabric shop. (If you haven't gone there, you don't know what you're missing!) I decided to go ahead and use some of my certificate since I have to use it by the end of the year...yes, I still have a little bit left.

Everything you see in the picture, except the top two tan fabrics, is what I won...19 lbs of delicious yumminess. I think it's rather fitting since I have lost 20 lbs since April, so each pound of fabric represents the weight I've lost. Hard to believe I carried around that extra baggage. The icing on the cake was that I had my a1c test (glucose) and my numbers went down so I'm headed in the right direction. What an awesome way to celebrate huh?!?!

The two tan fabrics are from the Hole in One fabric collection. I decided I should probably start on my bosses' Christmas present. I'm going to use some stash but I'm still deciding what to do about the border and backing. I may get the coordinating fabric.

Here are my numbers:
  • Fabric Added this Week: +59 yards
  • Fabric Added YTD: +208.50 yards
  • Fabric Used this Week: -1.25 yards
  • Fabric Used YTD (goal 150): -142.25 yards
  • Net Fabric USED: -66.25 yards
It's not looking too promising that I'll be able to get out of the hole before the end of the year (especially since I have to use the rest of my certificate), but that's alright. Something to strive for next year.
Goals this Week:
  • Start on Hole in One
  • Continue working on log cabin blocks

Wow! Congratulations on the new fabric and the weight loss! I am once again beginning to trudge down that path myself, as I've let myself completely go. I know I'll look better and feel better after I get going, but man... getting started is le hard.
