Then I made the mistake of taking a break and went off to get groceries for hubby's Valentine's supper. After I got back, I cut the pieces for the next step. I started cutting some rectangles and thought how the heck am I gonna get the required amount out of 2 strips. Um, I was cutting them at 3-1/2 inches instead of 2-1/2 inches....braid fart #1. When I started making the alternating blocks, I remember thinking "Amy, you gotta pay attention to where the colors go and that the stem of the "T" goes toward the center." You know where this is going don't you??? Apparently I must have been bebopping or daydreaming a little too much because all the sudden I thought something didn't seem right on that last block. Yep, brain fart #2, the turquoise "T" row (in the middle, 2nd row) was sewn the wrong way. I even thought it was weird sewing that row.
Now it's fixed and half of the blocks are done. Now that I look at these pictures, the orange really seems to stick out. Tomorrow I'll finish the rest of the blocks. I also quilted Recipe for Friendship.
Now this 3 cheese manicotti is in the oven and should be done in a little bit because hubby just got home from work.

I love that quilt. Where does the pattern come from.
I have days like that when you know somethngs wrong even when you are sewing it but the brain just doesn't want to tell you.
Love and hugs Gina xxx
Woo hoo!!! You are almost done with the blocks!! Just a few more steps and you will be able to move on to something else! Woo hoo!!!
I am NOT showing my husband the picture of your manicotti! He'll expect me to make him something like that! I laughed at the upside down "T"--oh, those things happen!
