Swift

I don't mean Taylor Swift either.  Yesterday I had mentioned to hubby that he could make me a yarn swift for Christmas.  He started rummaging around in the garage and pulled out a wheel from a go-kart tire and some metal pieces and voila....

Before primer and paint...

After primer and paint.  The paint is a metallic violet (again found in the garage).  It's a much nicer color in person.

Of course I tried it out and it worked really well.  The only thing that needs to be changed is to make the pegs taller.  Here is all 620 yards that I wound using my new yarn swift.  This yarn is for Flint which I hope to swatch by next weekend.

Merry Christmas to me!
