Yarn Confessional
I've been hooked on Madelinetosh yarn lately. In December I was searching around for a specific colorway and stumbled upon Eat.Sleep.Knit, an online shop that has a "yarnathon" each year. You can win prizes based on the number of yards of yarn you order. Never one to turn down a challenge, I waited (impatiently) until January 1 to place my order. This is what arrived this week.
From left to right: Tosh DK - Mourning Dove (7 skeins) for a hoodie, Briar (to see what it really looked like, will probably be turned into a cowl), Tern (to see what it really looked like); and on the bottom, Tosh Merino Light in Blue Gingham to go along with 3 other skeins I already had for a pullover sweater. I wound Tern so I could cast on a new cowl pattern called Winter Wonder.
A couple shops had some good sales for New Years, so I have a little bit more yarn coming. :-( Most of it will be used for knitting Christmas gifts.
Go to Judy’s blog and see how others did with their stashbusting this week.

What pretty yarn! It makes me wish I had the budget to learn to knit too!
Hey, at least you're making progress on a UFO!
Beautiful colors of yarns!
Beautiful yarn - luckily I am not in to knitting. I have too many other projects to deal with right now.... but if everyone keeps showing their yarn, it mught be hard to resist.
