I love how this looks. I keep going back and forth putting the kit in my cart, closing the window, and repeat. Then I decided maybe I'd just get the pattern (since I have a little fabric stash). Hmmmm, when I see the fabrics on the cover of the pattern, it does nothing for me. I probably wouldn't have looked twice at this pattern if it weren't for the picture above. I'm not saying it's wrong, but it doesn't appeal to me.

Oh I agree - I would not have looked twice if I just saw the pattern. That is one thing I like about Quiltmaker magazine - and some of the other mags - when they show the quilt project in different colorways. It makes my brain go "a-haaaa" and then there's trouble...
