Camp Loopy 2013 Project #2 - Hitchhiker

On Monday I cast on for Camp Loopy Project #2.  I am making the Hitchhiker shawl and the first two days went pretty quick.  Now my rows are getting longer and progress is going slower.  The picture below was my progress after the first day - 11 "teeth" (the jagged edges on the left-hand side) completed.  According to the pattern, I should have about 41 teeth by the time I'm done.  Currently I have 22 teeth, so halfway.

Loopy thought it was big enough after Day 1.  Silly guy.

Lovely start! Now that I'm starting to "get into" yarn projects, although I don't know how to knit (yet?), I definitely can start appreciating the therapy and patience involved with it :)
Excellent.
