Knitting Report - Week Ending 8/23

I'll start with the good news.  I used 4 skeins for my Camp Loopy sweater, Winifred.  If you want to stop reading now, that would be perfectly fine by me.

Well, when I fall, I fall hard.  This week I received 4 yarn packages.  The first to arrive was my Woolen Rabbit club yarn, a gorgeous grey lace.

The second package was the yarn I hinted about last week.  Little Knits was having a sale on this yummy Queensland Leche yarn - a full bag (10 skeins) was $20.  So for $40 I can knit a sweater.  This yarn is SO soft.  It's made with 40% merino, 30% microfiber, 20% milk (can you believe it!), and 10% silk.  I wish I would have bought more!  I'm hoping this will be a good fit for Kerrera (Ravelry link), a hooded cardigan. Not sure which color to use for it though - the purple or the green.  Feel free to weigh in your your choice.

My third package was from The Loopy Ewe.  I had totally forgot that I had signed up for the Fall Giftables (which Judy mentioned in her post last week).  Biscotte & Cie - Felix yarn....a new to me yarn!

My fourth package was from WEBS and it has the yarn (Madelinetosh DK in Vermillion) I ordered for the Rafters cardigan I mentioned last week.  I did order the pattern also.  This is a hard to photo color. It's supposed to be pinkish purple but these skeins definitely read more red compared to the skeins I've seen in the past.  They'll still work though.

On a good note, I missed refrained from ordering any of the Wollmeise yarn that went up on The Loopy Ewe site this week.  I have NO packages on their way or orders placed.

Used this Week:  4 skeins
Used since August:  4 skeins

Added this Week:  51 skeins (OUCH!)
Added since August:  51 skeins

Net Used since August:  (47 skeins)

Yikes, these sweater quantities add up FAST!  I have a LOT of knitting to do to get in the black.

I have a couple projects to finish first, but I'm already thinking about my next new project.  I need your help deciding my next project.  Should I make:

Mondo Cable in Pulli (by ChicKnits) in Madelinetosh DK - colorway:  Isadora (pinkish color, another hard to capture on camera).  It is similar to the sweater I just finished except it is a V-neck and has a different cable going down the middle.

Gelsomina Aran (by Veronik Avery) in Madelinetosh DK - colorway:  Sequoia.  LOVE this.  The only bad part is it's bottom-up.

Skara Brae (by Stephanie Van der Linden) in Briggs and Little Heritage - colorway:  Grey Heather (same color as in the pattern).  This has been in my queue for a while.  Look at all those cables!  This is a new, to me, yarn too.

You are all set with so fabulous yarns and some fabulous projects. I am green with envy! Love Kerrera, I think you should knit one in each color. ;) Have fun choosing which to do first!
