Yarn Report - Week Ending 9/27/13

My no-buy streak had to be restarted. After posting about Brooke's Criollo last week, the same colorway came up for sale on the Madelinetosh Shop. I took it as a sign. My excuse is that it was for my birthday (even though my birthday was this week). Everyone needs birthday yarn (or fabric) right? It was a pre-order that first shipped today so it will be counted in next week's report. 

 There have been a couple yarn temptations this week. The Madelinetosh shop has posted oodles of yarn this week, some on bases that have been on backorder. Plus a gorgeous scarf (Ravelry link) pattern came out on Monday.  It's only available right now if you buy Shalimar Breathless DK yarn from The Loopy Ewe. I was actually contemplating buying the yarn so I could get the "free" pattern. Common sense kicked in though, and I will wait until it's released next month so I can use stash yarn.

 No new patterns this week.

LOL -- common sense prevailed? could you send some my way? That scarf is gorgeous and since I have some of that yarn in the stash I did decide I could wait for the pattern too. So I didn't place an order for that but another place I buy from online is doing a Sock-along so I HAD to buy yarn for that (and somehow several others are keeping it company on the way to my house!)
