I did end up buying the BlueSands Cardigan pattern this weekl. I kept going back and forth about the price, but then I thought about all the free patterns that I've downloaded from Ravelry the last couple years. The pattern shows two different yoke options so it's kind of like getting two patterns for the price of one.
I was thisclose to ordering yarn for it too. It was in my cart, but then I looked at what it would do to my totals below, and thought about that 90 day badge, and how many projects that are in my queue which already have yarn purchased. So I'm holding off for now on buying the yarn for it.
In the Madelinetosh group on Ravelry, people are submitting pattern specific projects to knit for MadMay. One sweater that has been nominated is Criollo (Ravelry link) which I already have the yarn for and it has a lot of votes. Even if it isn't chosen as one of the specific patterns to knit, I think I might knit it anyway under the General Sweater category.
