After going through the stash closet the other day, I was feeling rather guilty. Besides working on the HeartStrings Happy blocks, I've started working on a kid's quilt that has stripes in it. It should go together fairly quickly (once I can get in more than an hour of sewing).
Since hubby has had shutdown from work the last two weeks, he is getting bored and wants to get out of the house. So we went to see The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. It was good, but 3 hours is too long! The makeup is spectacular!
Back to quilting, I'm thinking of trying something different this year. Someone had posted on the Yahoo Stashbuster message board about working on a certain quilty project/method each week of the month. So I'm going to try this for January:
Week 1 - Stash project (any project that uses fabrics in my stash)
Week 2 - Quilting (anything on my Flimsies page - quilting the top, loading on frame, backing, binding)
Week 3 - Anything from Current or Waiting Line page (includes BOMs)
Week 4 - Anything
Week 5 - Quilting
So next week (starting Sunday) I will work on quilting a top, loading on the frame, making the backing, putting on binding, etc. I'll start with Ramblin' Rose which hubby's aunt chose for her Christmas present. Hopefully this will help get some of the older tops quilted!
I'm going to finish up checking blogs and emails and then get back to sewing. Hopefully I can get the rest of the strips for All Star Kids put together.
BTW - Day 2 and I'm still "clean"......didn't buy any new fabric. However, I did receive my monthly FQ bundle from Fat Quarter Shop and my last order from after Christmas.
