Happy New Year! I hope everyone survived the New Year's Eve parties. We just stayed home and watched some movies. At 10:00 a neighbor set off some fireworks so we watched that for a while. Thankfully it didn't last too long because the boys freak out from the noise.
Several people have mentioned on their blogs to make sure you sew today because whatever you do on New Years Day, you'll do throughout the year. Well I have done some sewing.....made a couple more Happy Blocks and cut all the pieces for the last PPS08 block. But I also have been cleaning....refrigerator, cupboards, and dishes. I'm also contemplating cleaning the kitchen floor too. This is really something we need to improve on this year. Many times I've let the housework go so I could sew. Hubby likes to leave things in the refrigerator or cupboards rather than throw them away. With hubby being off of work for shutdown, he's been doing a little bit of cleaning each day. So I figure if we keep at it, it won't take so long.
We're thinking about maybe doing dogsledding later, but we'll have to see what the weather's like. Later we're going by the in-law's for egg rolls.....the New Year's tradition.
What have you been up to?
P.S. I'm doing great on the stashbusting effort.....I'm still no buy!!! LOL
BTW, Jen (Cre8tive Quilter) & Jill (Ramblings of a Fabric Obsessor) are having another quilting challenge (for fun).....Waun-A-Quilt 2009. Check it out and see how you do!
