Week 26 Stash Report

More progress was made this week, especially on the Memorial Day QOV.  I did not like the fabric I chose for the Grape Jam border, so I ordered fabric that was from the Maypole fabric line and cut that up, it just needs to be sewn on.  Hubby is on shutdown for two weeks so I'm not expecting too much sewing time while he's off.

Two "B" blocks for Judy's Memorial Day QOV are complete, along with all of the "A" blocks.

The rows of more "B" blocks are ready to be sewn together.

Here are my numbers:

~ Fabric Used this Week: 2.75 yards
~ Fabric Used YTD:  61.50 yards

~ Fabric Added this Week: 1.50 yards
~ Fabric Added YTD: 35.75 yards

~ Net Usage: +25.75 yards

Mid-Year Report

Comparison of last year's mid-year numbers:

2010 Used:  61.50 yards
2009 Used:  108 yards

2010 Added:  35.75 yards
2009 Added:  84.50 yards

I'm a little behind with usage, but I'm on track to at least use up 100 yards for the year.  I have been doing pretty good on not adding fabric, but I did poke some buttons this week.  I ordered some red, white and blue wide backing fabrics to make more QOV tops and a BOM backing.  There are also some fabric collections that will be coming out this fall that I've got my eye on.  I was able to move some of the fabric from under the sewing table into the closet, so progress is being made.

Go to Judy’s blog and see how others did with their stashbusting this week.

Goals for the Week:

~ Work on Morning Splash border #3
~ Sew border on Grape Jam
~ Knit last 2-3 inches of Melbourne sweater front
~ Complete Memorial Day QOV "B" blocks

Your numbers look great - and your 100 yrd goal seems achievable. It's a different year, so what happened in 2009 was different.
Love your MDQ!
