On the Needles - 11/29/13

I have a bunch of pictures to show you this week. Shall we start?

Good News: I am decreasing for the cap sleeve for my sweater.

Bad News: I was not able to finish the cap sleeve for my sweater. Can you see why?

I made a lot of progress last Sunday. I was starting to get tired and should have quit but I tried to get a couple more rows knit. When I picked this up on Tuesday, I noticed an error on the second sleeve. When I did the left twist cable, I must have put the stitches to the back instead of the front. I don't know how to fix it. Well I know what needs to be done, but I've never fixed cables before and I'm not brave enough to try it on my own. I may take it to the local LYS to see if someone there can fix it for me.

Until then, I cast on a hat which is almost done. This is the Steinway hat in Madelinetosh Vintage, colorway Cherry. This hat will go with the scarf I knit for the last Camp Loopy project. (Sorry for the bad lighting.)

Very pretty. Hopefully you can get some help and fix it soon.

Oh, Amy! Don't you hate it when that happens. I hope someone can help you fix it quickly. I'm so torn between wanting to make the beautiful sweaters like the one you're making, or sticking with plain and simple because I seem to have the hardest time paying attention.

Hope someone can fix it without your having to rip it back! It sure is a pretty pattern.

The link didn't work, but today's Knitting Daily deals with fixing cables. Maybe you can find it on Google?

Very pretty color on your sweater. I'm not trained enough to even see where your error is. Hope you get it fixed to your satisfaction.

Oh, I am so sorry about your mistake. So annoying, I can relate! I hope that you get the help you need to fix it - I do not know how you are able to keep track of such complicated patterns. I seem to have a hard time keeping track of simple patterns and have done my fair share of "unknitting" one stitch at a time with those. Cheers! Evelyn
