On the Needles - 2/14/14

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Last Friday, I cast on my cowl for the Ravellenic 2014 games. By Sunday I was finished! Once that was done, I got back to Dianthe. I'm at the point where I can "read" my knitting and know what cable I'm knitting without looking at the instructions. I finished the increases last night and am ready for the armhole shaping when I pick it back up, hopefully tomorrow.

I also remembered to post a picture of my waffle scarf progress. This is the pattern I'm using to teach the "Knitting Ninjas" how to knit. I had to laugh when one lady told me she thought knitting was supposed to be relaxing because it was really stressful for her. I told her it feels stressful now because she's still learning. Knitting isn't for everyone, but I'm glad she's trying it.

Dianthe is going to be so pretty! It looks way hard! You did good getting your cowl finished.

Nice cowl! What yarn are you using for Dianthe? It has very nice stitch definition. Happy Valentine's Day!

The design on Dianthe is so pretty. It does look a bit more complicated than I'm ready for. I love the name of the group you are teaching - the Knitting Ninjas. lol Your pink scarf is more my speed too.
