Sunshine Bloggers Award

I received the Sunshine Award from my evil twin (her words, not mine) Penny over at Penny Quilts.  She quilts, is loved by two Samoyed girls, recently moved back home to Oklahoma, and isn't afraid to try new quilt techniques.  The award is given to "bloggers who inspire others with positivity and creativity.”  I am very honored to receive this award.  Thank you Penny!

The rules for accepting the award are:

1. Put the logo on your blog or within your post.
2. Pass the award to 12 bloggers.  A great way to "meet" new bloggers!!
3. Link the nominees within your post.
4. Let them know they received this award by commenting on their blog.
5. Share the love and link to the person from whom you received this award.

I've been thinking about who I'd like to give this award to, since there are so many to chose from.  Without further ado, here goes (in no particular order):

1. Jill is a quilter, dog lover and has also recently learned how to knit socks.  She has made some gorgeous quilts in the short time she's been quilting, particularly Shady Lanes which is on my "to do" list.

2. Anne is a knitter who designs socks, sweaters and shawls.  I love seeing all the eye candy on her site.

3. Heather is a quilter, quilt designer, and knitter.  She is the main reason I learned to knit after I saw pictures of the gorgeous sweaters she knitted.

4. Mary is a quilter and recently took up knitting socks.  She offers free quilt patterns and also participates in the HeartStrings group.

5.  Judy does it all - quilts, knits, cooks, raises chickens, creates/offers free patterns, etc.  She also motivates those who participate in the weekly stashbusting report.

6.  Wendy is a knitter who has published several sock books.  Lately she's been knitting a lot of shawls.

7.  Allison is another knitter who is currently working on selling her patterns on KnitPicks and learning how to spin her own yarn.  She gave me some great advice about beginner knitting books.

8.  Peg is a quilter and does very lovely stitcheries.  She also is helping with the OPAM (One Project a Month) group this year.

9.  Lori is a fellow quilter and stashbuster.  She makes a lot of scrap quilts and participates in the Heartstrings sew-ins.

10.  Pat is a quilter, stashbuster, and fellow Wisconsinite whom I met last year at the Madison Quilt Show.  She does a lot of QOV and other charity quilting.

11.  Vicky is another fellow quilter and stashbuster.  I would love to see her house b/c she has the mother of all fabric stashes.  She doesn't get to blog too often but when she does, it's well worth it.

12.  Liz is a fellow quilter and stashbuster.  She also is a birdwatcher and recently posted about birdcams on eagle and hummingbird nests.
