Finish #2

It's been a pretty good start to the year, two finishes and we're not even one week into the new year!  Hubby's sweater is finally finished!!!  Now I can, in good conscience, start the Flint cardigan.

Pattern:  Melbourne Pullover by Diane Zangl from Creative Knitting magazine, November 2008 edition.
Yarn:  KnitPicks Wool of the Andes in the Mink Heather colorway
Mods:  I made the sleeves a little longer to accommodate hubby's long arms.

Here are some pictures of Anna after being blocked.  I was trying to get a decent picture of the lace designs but it was starting to get dark out.

PatternAnna (Ravelry link) (large; there is also a small version) (She-Knits Mystery #6) by Sharon Dreifuss
Yarn:  Studio June Yarn - Star Struck in Eggplant colorway

Now I'm off to work on the applique for my UFO challenge project.

First Finish of 2011!!!

Yahoo!!!  I have my first finish of the year.  I still need to block it, but the Anna mystery shawl for my aunt is done!  I'll take better pictures after it's blocked.

What I've Been Working On

Yesterday I completed two more Infinity Star blocks.  Then I cut the pieces for the last 6 blocks so they're ready when I work on it again.

I've also been busy knitting away on Anna, the mystery shawl I started mid-November.  I just finished Clue 4, so one more to go.  Each row is getting shorter so I hopefully can finish the last clue by next weekend so I can get it blocked and delivered to my aunt.

I also decided to dig out Fireworks in Prairie Park and see what I need to finish since I have it on my list for Judy's UFO Challenge.  Tomorrow Judy will be pulling the first number.  I have all the blocks done, but gave up when I couldn't get the correct size on the big flying geese.  So I need to finish those and sew the applique pieces down.  I also started the pieced border, but it's not in the picture below.

Productive Day Off

I got quite a bit done on my day off, even though it wasn't exactly what I should have been doing (like quilting the Eagle top).

Four Infinity Star blocks are now done.

Since you can't really see any detail in this picture, I finished clue 2 and started clue 3 of the Anna mystery shawl.  I'm almost halfway.  The final clue came out today, so now i just need to get 'r done.

Of course, I also did the housecleaning/holiday/exercising type stuff too.
