Design Wall - 1/31

I made a little progress this week.  I cut out one scrolly thing for FIPP.  I gotta turn under the edges and hand-sew it on.

I started sewing the sashing pieces to Canterbury Crossing.

Design Wall Monday - Jan. 10

It's not necessarily on the design wall, but it's what I'm currently working on.  The is my UFO Challenge project for January....Fireworks in Prairie Park.  I've finished all 4 stars that needed to be sewn onto circles.  (I took the picture before I finished the fourth one.)

Still need to do:
  • Finish 6 flying geese; 2 are done
  • Cut out 4 applique red thingys
  • Sew 4 star circles and red thingys to background fabric
  • Hand sew small stars to flying geese
  • Cut setting triangles and piece to blocks
  • Finish sewing border pieces together
  • Cut border fabric

For reference, here is what the top should look like when I get it finished.

What I've Been Working On

Yesterday I completed two more Infinity Star blocks.  Then I cut the pieces for the last 6 blocks so they're ready when I work on it again.

I've also been busy knitting away on Anna, the mystery shawl I started mid-November.  I just finished Clue 4, so one more to go.  Each row is getting shorter so I hopefully can finish the last clue by next weekend so I can get it blocked and delivered to my aunt.

I also decided to dig out Fireworks in Prairie Park and see what I need to finish since I have it on my list for Judy's UFO Challenge.  Tomorrow Judy will be pulling the first number.  I have all the blocks done, but gave up when I couldn't get the correct size on the big flying geese.  So I need to finish those and sew the applique pieces down.  I also started the pieced border, but it's not in the picture below.
